BEHIND THE LENS

I discovered my passion for photography while living overseas in East Africa. I love that a photograph captures a moment in time that would have normally been lost forever, impossible to relive or recreate.

Dorothea Lang said, "The camera is an instrument that teaches people how to actually see without a camera".  I couldn't agree more, as it changes the way you see the world on a daily basis.  It never stops, it's not something you turn on and off, it's how you look at all things all the time: lighting, angles, shapes, the framing of things.

I've been lucky to travel and explore all over the world, shooting on six different continents and in 68 countries.  As it's often said, 'My favorite photo is the one I'm going to take tomorrow.
